From Tokyo Airport (NRT) to
the Conference Venue (NOMYC)

FASTER (but more expensive) express TRAIN: Take JR 'Narita Express' (N'EX) train from the basement of the airport buildings to SHINJUKU, the closest JR Station to the NOMYC) DEPARTURE TIMES of Narita Express that goes to or passes through SHINJUKU Station at the Airport Terminal Building No. 1 (departure from the Airport Terminal Building No. 2 ca. two minutes after the time shown here): 7.43, 8.47, 9.13, 9.43, 10.13, 11.13, 12.13, 13.13, 14.13, 15.13, 16.14, 16.29, 17.13, 18.13, 18.46, 19.13, 19.43, 20.43 and 21.43 hours. The N'EX fare is JPY 3,110 to Shinjuku (ordinary seat. buy your ticket saying that you want to go to SHINJUKU by the Narita Express, not to Tokyo Central Station which all the N'EXs pass through. In some rare event when seats are fully booked, a 'standee' ticket will be issued to those without bookings.) Journey time to SHINJUKU is about 80 minutes. Once you are at Shinjuku, take a taxi to the 'Lodging Building D (Shukuhaku D-tou') of the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center. Taxi fare should be no more than JPY 1,000. Taxis are metered and you do NOT need to tip to the driver (even though you have a big piece of luggage).

SLOWER CITY TRAIN (a less expensive way to get to the NOMYC): Take 'KEISEI' line ordinary train (which means any trains OTHER THAN 'Skyliner') from the basement of the airport buildings to KEISEI YAWATA Station ('Skyliner' does NOT make stop at this station). The train leaves every 20 minutes, journey time to KEISEI YAWATA is about 50 minutes and it costs JPY 840.　　 Once in KEISEI YAWATA, transfer to the underground (subway) 'Toei SHINJUKU Line' for HATSUDAI Station (the closest underground station to the NOMYC). The train departs every 5-6 minutes, journey time to HATSUDAI is about 42 minutes and it costs JPY 480. At HATSUDAI, take a taxi to 'Lodging Building D (Shukuhaku D-tou') of the NOMYC. Taxi fare should not be more than JPY 700. Taxis are metered and you need not to tip to the driver (even though you have a big piece of luggage).

	TAXI from the airport: We do NOT recommend this option, as the airport is ca, 60km away from downtown and your taxi meter will go up to whopping JPY 20,000 or more. There is NO shared van services (as 'Airport Shuttle' kind of service in the US) available at Narita. Remember, train plus local taxi are the best and cheapest way to get to the NOMYC.
